The MP for Copeland was quizzed on life in Parliament today during a meet and greet session with pupils from Thornhill and Arlecdon Primary Schools.
During a joint residential visit to London, Trudy Harrison MP took time out of her busy schedule to meet the two school classes in Parliament’s Education Learning Centre.
Mrs Harrison answered the pupil’s questions on life as Copeland’s MP, working for the Prime Minister and day-to-day life in Westminster.
Mrs Harrison, said: “It is always a pleasure to welcome Copeland’s schools to Parliament and I was delighted to speak with the pupils from Thornhill and Arlecdon Primary schools to hear about their exciting trip to London and answer their questions on all things politics.
“Parliament’s Education Learning Centre is a world-class facility that inspires and connects young people with Parliament and democracy.
“I encourage all schools in my constituency to get in touch with me if they need any help in planning their visit to Parliament.”
Each of the centre’s learning spaces have been designed to replicate key areas of Parliament, including the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
