Trudy Harrison was overjoyed to retain her Copeland seat for the Conservatives in the General Election.
She received 22,856 votes which was 53.7 per cent and is a majority of 5,842.
Following her victory Trudy said: "I want to thank everyone who voted for me, I am proud and honoured to be voted to be your MP once again and I will continue to work hard for everything that matters to you and our fabulous Copeland community. Three election wins in less than three years, that must surely be a record breaker.
"I would like to thank all the candidates who were on stage with me tonight, it takes real courage to put yourself forward for public office.
"Huge appreciation also to Copeland Conservative Association, which is a hard-working and supportive family and, of course, special thanks to my husband and four daughters, my parents and brother who have been a tower of strength since I embarked upon this political journey."
The Copeland MP added: "Tonight’s result in Copeland is a strong mandate to Get Brexit Done, it’s a vote of confidence in Boris Johnson’s message of optimism and opportunity and it’s a vote of confidence in the importance of our nuclear industry of farming and tourism and of the need to invest in our road and rail network and to improve digital connectivity and of course support for our vital services."
