Trudy has received assurances from rail chiefs that more services are planned as part of train timetable changes being introduced on Sunday.
Ahead of Northern’s May timetable changes, Mrs Harrison met with Rail Minister Andrew Jones and Northern Rail Regional Director Chris Jackson.
She said: “We experienced increased services, including the first Sunday service last May - but also unprecedented delays and cancellation problems.
“I am assured that this time, Northern are fully prepared and we will see even more services on our Cumbrian Coastal route.”
Northern say the May changes will add new journey opportunities, new routes and services as well as strengthened links with other regions.
