Copeland MP Trudy Harrison is holding a ‘Meet the Businesses’ day in Cleator Moor.
It follows news of Cleator Moor chosen as one of 100 places to be invited to bid for up to £25million from the Government’s Towns Fund and also stems from a recent Chamber of Trade event.
Mrs Harrison is working closely with local organisations to ensure the money is spent for the benefit of residents and businesses.
On November 15 she will visit businesses across the area including Graphskill, AS Designs and Yeathouse Alpacas.
She will also officially open the town’s new office accommodation Stirling Place and meet a further six organisations there, including Cygnus Workspaces, which manages the office complex.
Mrs Harrison said: “Cleator Moor is a central area for growing businesses in Copeland, there is a wealth of expertise and cutting-edge technology here which I will be exploring further. I will also be meeting up again with Cleator Moor Chamber of Trade and discussing further ideas and vision for the town.”
